How to follow the NARUTO CARD GAME on BANDAI TCG+, step by step

Registering the NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL on Bandai's BANDAI TCG+ app is the documented condition for the CP-001 promo at New York Comic Con and PAX Aus. It takes five taps and a BANDAI NAMCO ID. Here is what each screen looks like, and what the app deliberately does not do.

Quick answer

BANDAI TCG+ is Bandai's organised play app for its card games, not a game. To get NARUTO CARD GAME updates you install it, switch the selected title to NARUTO CARD GAME, open the NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL on the Events page, tap Apply and then Confirm Contents and Apply, and sign in with a BANDAI NAMCO ID. Bandai's New York Comic Con and PAX Aus pages make that registration a condition of receiving the CP-001 Chakra Card, so it is worth doing before you travel, not in the queue.

There is one thing you can do today that changes what you walk away with from a NARUTO CARD GAME tutorial session, and it is not standing in a queue earlier. Bandai's event pages for New York Comic Con and PAX Aus both state that the participant gifts, the CP-001 Chakra Card and the Logo Sticker, go only to people who are registered to the NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL on BANDAI TCG+ and who complete a survey after the session. Registration is free, takes a couple of minutes, and cannot be done retroactively at the booth.

What BANDAI TCG+ actually is

The app's own landing page calls it an organised play system. Its three stated jobs are finding events ("search for and apply to tournaments and other events held at nearby stores"), preparing for them ("pre-register your deck list", so you can "easily prepare for the event beforehand from your smartphone"), and running the day itself: check in, confirm competition matchups, record competition results.

Bandai's NARUTO page puts the same thing more briefly: "With the BANDAI TCG+ app, you can apply to various BANDAI CARD GAMES trading card events, check-in to events, see the results of your matches, and more."

The app covers Bandai's card game portfolio rather than one title. The landing page lists Battle Spirits, the DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME in both its Masters and Fusion World forms, the DIGIMON CARD GAME, the ONE PIECE CARD GAME, UNION ARENA, the GUNDAM CARD GAME and the NARUTO CARD GAME. That matters for step one below: the app opens on whichever title you last used, so a new install will not be showing you Naruto.

Installing it

The NARUTO CARD GAME page has a section headed Download BANDAI TCG+ with an "Download on the App Store" badge and a "GET IT ON Google Play" badge. The crawl record for that page captures the two badge images but no store URLs, and the download buttons on the app's own landing page resolve to Japanese storefronts, so we are not going to print a link we cannot verify for your region. Search your store for BANDAI TCG+ and check the publisher is Bandai.

The five steps, as Bandai numbers them

1. Tap the TCG title shown at the top of the screen. Bandai's note: "You'll need to change the selected TCG title to see events for your desired title. If NARUTO CARD GAME is already selected, please skip to step 3."

2. Select NARUTO CARD GAME and press [Change]. "Select NARUTO CARD GAME. Once selected, press [Change] to switch titles."

3. Tap [Event Details] on the "NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL", then tap [Confirm Event Series]. "Search for the 'NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL' on the Events page, then tap [Event Details]. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap [Confirm Event Series]."

4. Tap [Apply] on the "NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL", then [Confirm Contents and Apply]. "Click [Apply] from the Event Search screen. A confirmation screen will then appear. Tap [Confirm Contents and Apply]." This is also where the account requirement lands: "Login via the [Login] button at the top right of the BANDAI TCG+ screen", with the footnote that "If you don't have a BANDAI NAMCO ID, you'll need to register one."

5. Now you're all set to receive the latest information. "The latest information on the NARUTO CARD GAME will be delivered straight to your notifications. Click the bell icon at the top right to check your notifications."

Why it is worth doing now

At New York Comic Con and PAX Aus, registration for the tutorial sessions themselves is planned to be on-site on the day, and you may take part in only one session per convention. The gift condition sits on top of that: registered to the channel, plus a completed post-session survey. Miss the first half and the survey does nothing for you.

PAX Aus has one softer route. Its page offers a free Logo Sticker to anyone who follows Bandai's Instagram, Facebook or X accounts or registers the channel. The CP-001 card has no such alternative. What CP-001 is, and the variants of it Bandai has shown, is covered in the CP-001 promo guide.

What the app does not do

Three things, stated plainly because the app's name invites the wrong assumption:

It is not a digital NARUTO CARD GAME. There is nothing to play. The feature list is events, deck lists, check-in and results.
It is not a card database. No NARUTO CARD GAME card list exists in the app, because no card list exists anywhere. The only public card code is CP-001.
The channel is not an event booking. Bandai's own page carries the asterisk twice: "This event page is not for event participation at a venue. This event page is only for receiving the latest updates on the NARUTO CARD GAME."
