NARUTO CARD GAME at New York Comic Con 2026: booth 2705, free tutorials and the CP-001 promo

New York Comic Con is the second stop on the NARUTO CARD GAME's pre-release tour and the first since the world debut at Gen Con. Bandai published the details on August 7, 2026, and they are shorter than the Gen Con listing in a way that is itself informative.

At a glance

New York Comic Con's own site lists the show as October 08 to 11, 2026 at the Javits Center and describes the 2026 edition as its twentieth anniversary, pointing visitors to a tickets page for pricing and badge types. It does not publish per-day show hours on its front page, and Bandai has not published session times of its own, so plan around the booth rather than a clock.

The session, and how you get into one

The pitch is unchanged: join a Tutorial Session and learn how to play in a fun, immersive way. Admission to the session is free, over and above the badge.

The substantive change from Gen Con is booking. In Indianapolis, tutorial tickets went through Gen Con's own event registration system from June 21, weeks in advance. For New York, Bandai says registration is planned to take place on-site on the day of the event, and asks readers to stay tuned for further details. There is, at the time of writing, no queue mechanism published.

The other conditions carry over unchanged:

• Demo decks are not available to take home.
• One tutorial session per person across the whole of New York Comic Con.
• Participation prizes are limited to one per person regardless of how many sessions are reserved or attended.

Bandai also drops one Gen Con rule from the New York listing: there is no mention of a closed room or a recording ban. It does not say recording is permitted either. It simply is not addressed.

The promo, and the app you need first

Two items go to Tutorial Session participants:

• CP-001 Chakra Card
• Logo Sticker

Note the naming. The Gen Con card was labelled Gen Con 2026 Ver. and the Yankee Stadium card is labelled New York Yankees Ver.; this one carries no version suffix at all, and the same un-suffixed name appears on the PAX Aus listing. Whether that means one shared convention printing or simply an unfinished product name, Bandai has not said. The versions are tracked on our CP-001 guide.

The condition attached to both items is the one worth acting on before you travel. Only participants registered to the NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL on BANDAI TCG+ who complete a survey after the session are eligible. BANDAI TCG+ is Bandai's card game app, the channel is a news feed rather than an event entry, and registering it requires a BANDAI NAMCO ID. Doing that at home is considerably less annoying than doing it in a convention hall on shared wi-fi.

The playmat

The NARUTO CARD GAME Official Playmat, Arriving in 2027 is listed at an MSRP of $35 (+tax), limited to one item per person and available in limited quantities each day.

What the New York page does not repeat is the Gen Con gate. In Indianapolis the playmat was sold only to people holding a Purchase Ticket earned by completing a tutorial, and the ticket expired the same day. Here the listing says only that quantities are limited. It also does not say whether you carry the mat out of the building or receive it in 2027, which the product name rather pointedly leaves open.

This remains the only price Bandai has attached to anything in this game. There is no announced booster, starter deck, set code or card MSRP, which is why every "pre-order" listing you can find today is a placeholder. That argument is set out in full in our pre-orders guide.

What is not here

The Gen Con set included a special backpack. The New York listing does not mention one, and does not mention a booth giveaway of any kind for non-participants. Bandai has not explained the difference; it is simply absent from the page.

Also absent: session times, a daily capacity, a floor map, and any indication of what the demo decks contain. The page closes with Bandai's standing note that the contents of the activities may change without notice.

Where this sits

New York Comic Con opens the busiest month of the pre-release tour. PAX Aus runs October 9 to 11 in Melbourne, overlapping by three days, which puts the game on two continents at once for the first time; Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca follow. The convention phase runs into BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27, where NARUTO is confirmed at Orlando and London in January 2027, the same month in-store tutorial sessions begin, ahead of the Summer 2027 worldwide release.
