NARUTO CARD GAME at Spiel Essen 2026: tutorial sessions planned, no booth published

Bandai has committed the NARUTO CARD GAME to Spiel Essen, and that commitment is one line long. On the roadmap at the foot of the English About page, under Upcoming Events & Schedule, sits Spiel Essen 2026 (Germany / October 22 to 25, 2026). On the homepage schedule the same dates carry the note Tutorial Sessions planned. There is nothing after that.

The gap is the point

Four entries on that roadmap have a link beside them: Gen Con 2026, BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27, New York Comic Con 2026 and PAX Aus 2026 each say "Event Information" and go to a page with a venue, a booth, registration rules and a list of what participants receive. Spiel Essen, Paris Games Week and Lucca Comics & Games have no such link. They are dates on a calendar with an activity type attached.

So the honest list of what is unknown for Essen is long:

• No booth or hall number. Messe Essen ran seven halls in 2025; Bandai has not said which one it will be in, or whether it will have its own stand at all.
• No session times, no capacity, no length.
• No registration method. Gen Con used advance tickets through the Gen Con system, New York Comic Con and PAX Aus use on the day sign up at the booth. Neither has been stated for Essen.
• No participant gift. The CP-001 Chakra Card, the Logo Sticker and the $35 Official Playmat are documented for the American and Australian stops. Nothing published attaches any of them to Germany.
• No confirmation that the German or wider European language support exists for the demo, and no European pricing for anything.

The one word Bandai does use is worth keeping: "planned". The schedule says Tutorial Sessions planned, not confirmed, and the site carries its usual notice that contents may change.

What is documented: the fair

Everything below comes from Spiel Essen's own site, not from Bandai.

SPIEL describes itself as "the world's largest public fair for board games", bringing together "passionate game fans with national and international exhibitors". Its pitch to visitors is not a stage show but a table: "Here you can discover new titles from all over the world, enjoy the company of other gamers and above all play as much as you want."

That matters for a game that has no product yet. Essen is a fair where the normal activity is sitting down with strangers and being taught a rulebook, which is exactly what a tutorial session is. Of the three European stops, it is the one whose format already matches what Bandai says it wants to do.

Tickets and the practical bits

The tickets and opening hours page lists these categories, early bird until 04.08.26 and standard from 05.08.26:

The early bird window has closed, so the standard column applies. Children under 4 enter free. A ticket covers the whole opening time of that day and, in the fair's words, testing the games costs nothing extra. Reduced and business tickets require proof. There is no re-entry unless you collect a re-entry wristband at the exit before leaving, which is worth knowing if you plan to break for lunch outside the halls.

Where this sits

October 2026 is the crowded month. New York Comic Con and PAX Aus run first, on October 8 to 11 and October 9 to 11, and they are the stops with published operating detail. Then Essen and Paris Games Week share October 22 to 25, and Lucca Comics & Games closes the month from October 28 to November 1. After that the tour moves to BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest dates through the winter, in store tutorial sessions from January 2027, and the worldwide release in Summer 2027.

No booster, starter deck, set code or card price exists for the NARUTO CARD GAME. The only price Bandai has published is the $35 plus tax Official Playmat arriving in 2027, and the only card code in public is CP-001.
