Every Bandai card game in 2026, and where NARUTO fits

Bandai runs seven card games. That number is not an estimate. It is the length of the list on Bandai's own BANDAI CARD GAMES title page, which is the only place the roster is published as a roster rather than assembled by outsiders. Six of the seven are on sale. The seventh is the NARUTO CARD GAME, and it will not be on sale until Summer 2027.

This page is the roster, what each game runs on, and (the part most people are actually after) what the most recent Bandai launch says about the shape of the next one.

The seven

Two things about that table need saying plainly.

The "n/a" cells are that way for a reason. This site prints a first-release date only where it could be read off the publisher's own product page. Bandai's product listings are paginated and prune their own history, so Battle Spirits, UNION ARENA and DRAGON BALL SUPER no longer expose their opening dates on the English sites. Widely repeated dates for those three exist, but not on a Bandai page we can point you at, so they are not printed here.

"Engine family" is our classification, not Bandai's. Bandai publishes no taxonomy of its own rules systems. The grouping is drawn from the published rules of each game: ONE PIECE and DRAGON BALL SUPER Fusion World both build a deck around a single Leader card carrying a Life total, and Naruto's official game overview describes the same skeleton: "the Leader card that your deck is built around", won "by reducing your opponent's Leader's Life to 0". UNION ARENA's own homepage calls itself a "COMMON RULES TRADING CARD GAME", a deliberately different design goal: one ruleset stretched across dozens of anime licences. Digimon, Battle Spirits and GUNDAM are each their own thing.

Naruto is the interesting case because it is not a reskin. It takes the Leader-and-Life frame and adds two card types nothing else in the roster has: a resource of exactly 5 Chakra cards sitting outside the deck, and exactly 1 Summon card, which the overview describes as "required to play Character cards onto the battlefield". Bandai's published deck line is "a deck of 51 cards, 5 Chakra cards, and 1 Summon card". One of the seven is smaller than it looks

Battle Spirits is on the list, but its English chapter closed. On February 7, 2025 Bandai announced that "Battle Spirits Saga, which launched in April 2023, will be concluding its official development and support as of March 2025", citing sales and market conditions, with limited rules and customer support continuing for a further year. The battlespirits.com global site still runs, but it serves Japan and Asia: Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and English for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.

That matters here for one reason only: it is the counter-example to the assumption that a Bandai launch is automatically permanent. Six of the seven titles are healthy; one was retired in the West inside two years.

The GUNDAM precedent

GUNDAM is the most recent Bandai game to go from nothing to shelves, and every date below comes from a Bandai page.

The shape is worth internalising. Set codes appeared about six months before retail. A rulebook appeared about seven months before retail. A paid, limited, region-restricted box appeared about nine months before retail, and the mass-market products came later and cheaper, at $11.99 for a starter deck and $4.99 for a booster pack. That $4.99 booster figure is not a Gundam quirk; it is the price on the current official product pages for GUNDAM, ONE PIECE, UNION ARENA and DRAGON BALL SUPER Fusion World alike.

Mapping it onto Naruto

Here is the Naruto roadmap as Bandai has published it, with nothing added:

• June 18, 2026: game announced; Gen Con event information posted; Naruto added to BANDAI TCG+
• July 29, 2026: the game overview and first cards revealed; BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 announced
• July 30 to Aug 2, 2026: Gen Con, "New info reveals"
• Oct 2026 to Early 2027: "Tutorial Sessions planned" across New York Comic Con (Oct 8 to 11), PAX Australia (Oct 9 to 11), Spiel Essen and Paris Games Week (both Oct 22 to 25) and Lucca Comics & Games (Oct 28 to Nov 1)
• October to December 2026 BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in Jakarta (Oct 10 to 11), Manila (Oct 24 to 25), Bangkok (Nov 21 to 22), Hong Kong S.A.R. (Nov 28 to 29) and Singapore (Dec 5 to 6). Bandai's NARUTO site has dedicated Fest pages for seven of the eleven cities, those five plus Orlando and London; Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Shanghai and Tokyo do not have one yet.
• January 7 to 10, 2027: BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando

Now the predictions, clearly labelled as such. These are inferences from the Gundam calendar, not Bandai statements.

• Prediction: set codes and product names land roughly six months before release, so somewhere between December 2026 and February 2027 for a summer launch. The January Fest stops in Orlando and London are the obvious stage for it, and Bandai used a Fest-adjacent window for Gundam's own reveals.
• Prediction: a rulebook precedes products, not follows them. Gundam's went up a month before its first set codes. Naruto's official site currently has no rules page at all.
• Prediction: booster MSRP lands at $4.99, because every current Bandai booster on an English product page does. Starter decks have drifted upward. Gundam's ST01 was $11.99 in July 2025 and its ST11 to ST14 are $15.99 for September 2026, so a Naruto starter is a wider guess than a booster.

And one place the precedent explicitly does not transfer. Gundam's Edition Beta was a paid, US-only, pre-launch box. Bandai has announced no Naruto equivalent, and has committed instead to a simultaneous worldwide release supported by a sixteen-name distributor list spanning five regions. If a limited pre-launch box were coming, a region-restricted one would sit awkwardly against that. We are not predicting one either way.

What actually exists to buy right now

Nothing, with one exception. Bandai has published no Naruto product, no set code and no MSRP other than the $35 (+tax) Official Playmat sold at convention booths and arriving in 2027. The only Naruto card number Bandai has put a code on is the CP-001 promo Chakra Card handed out at tutorial sessions.
