NARUTO Night at Yankee Stadium: the CP-001 Yankees Chakra card, September 8, 2026

The NARUTO CARD GAME does not go on sale until Summer 2027. On September 8, 2026 a version of its first promotional card will be handed out at a baseball game in the Bronx.

Bandai posted the announcement, headed NARUTO Night at Yankee Stadium, on August 7, 2026. The body copy names the evening NARUTO x YANKEES GAME NIGHT and says a NARUTO CARD GAME "CHAKRA Card" featuring the Yankees logo will be distributed there.

At a glance

That table is very nearly the entire announcement. It is one of the shortest pages Bandai has published for this game, and the brevity is the story.

What Bandai does not say

The convention listings are precise to the point of pedantry. Gen Con specified a room number, a ticket opening time to the minute, a one-session cap, a warning that duplicate registrations could be cancelled, and a same-day expiry on the playmat voucher. New York Comic Con and PAX Aus each restate a one-session cap and a one-prize-per-person rule.

This page has none of that. Bandai publishes:

• no print run or total quantity
• no per-person limit
• no eligibility rule, gate, section or arrival time
• no BANDAI TCG+ registration requirement and no survey
• no session, demo or booth of any kind

For anything about tickets or how the promotion is run, the announcement points readers to the New York Yankees website. If you have seen a number attached to this giveaway, it was not published by Bandai, and this page is the primary source that would carry it if it existed.

The card

The item is listed as CP-001 Chakra Card, New York Yankees Ver., and the description runs to a single clause: a Chakra card featuring the Yankees logo.

Bandai's own sample image shows the same Naruto and Sasuke composition used on the other CP-001 printings, with the interlocking NY mark set into the lower right of the art box and a rights line down the left edge noting that the New York Yankees trademarks are used with the club's permission. Like every card image on the site it is watermarked SAMPLE and marked NOT FOR SALE, under Bandai's standing disclaimer that images may differ from the actual product, which is still in development.

No stats, no rarity, no set membership, no confirmation of tournament legality.

CP-001 is turning into a family

Three distinguishable printings of one card number have now been named on Bandai's own pages, inside roughly six weeks:

Why a baseball game

Every other NARUTO CARD GAME appearance so far has been at a convention, in front of people who already play card games. A stadium giveaway reaches an audience that mostly does not, in the largest media market in the United States, nine months before there is anything to buy. It is the first NARUTO CARD GAME marketing aimed squarely outside the hobby, and the first CP-001 printing likely to end up with people who have no idea what a Chakra card is.

For what it is worth, that is: Chakra is one of the game's five card types and every deck runs exactly five of them, face-up at the start, flipped face-down as costs are paid. See the Chakra card type page and the rules guide.

Where it sits on the roadmap

This is a one night promo wedged between the Gen Con debut and the October convention block. It does not appear on the schedule strip on Bandai's own site, which lists conventions and the Summer 2027 release but not this date.
